I posted recently regarding our 22 year old section B having a mad 5 minutes in the paddock when it was very slippery and came in lame. there was a little heat and swelling of the fetlock which has now left him with a little fluid either side of the tendon above the fetlock on one of his fronts. He is sound and we've left him strapped up on both fronts 24 hours for the last 2 weeks for support and safety as he does tend to gallop round the field once in a while (he's a bit of a nutter).
the vet is coming to do annual health check and jabs next Tues so will talk to her about it but is it likely that he will have fluid for some time if not forever?
we are hoping to remove the support boots next week.
thanks
