Fluid filled eye sockets

In horses, is it bad? What does it mean?
I'm talking about the part above the eye not the actual eye socket cos you know that would clearly be bad and probably the eye ball would fall out.

Usually, it's a sign of low grade laminitis or a similar metabolic disorder. Fluid typically collects there, accompanied by a hard fluid filled crest, possibly fat pads in localised areas of the body.

If it feels 'fatty' then can be a sign of cushings, I would recommend a blood test.

Humm I noticed it on a 2 year old today, no fat anywhere else, diet is exceptional, and it was definitely fluidy not fatty

It can be related to liver problems. It was one of the symptoms we had with liver fluke problems.
