My boy has been diagnosed with a fluid lump between the sesamoid bone and annular ligament on fore leg fetlock. Vet says either a knock or a type of RSi injury, but believe to be the former as his work over the past months has been little due to my injury.

The treatment given is a months box rest, with 2 10 min walks daily, bute and anti-inflam gel. If this does not work, keyhole surgery is next.

This is not something I have heard of before and wonder if anyone out there has any experience of this. It is 2 weeks since diagnosis and the lump does seem to be going down, but am hating the box rest as it is so unnatural and up until a few weeks ago, he was living out 24/7.
