Flunixin / Banamine injection and sweating? Is this normal?

As title, really. Vet gave horse injection (IV I'm sure) and he's been sweating profusely. Seems to have stopped now. Am waiting for vet to call back. Just wondered if this was a usual reaction to it.

yes it can happen but best to let the vet know about it. I have had it happen with no problems afterwards if it helps

Ah, thanks. Was quite worried!
Spoke to vet who thinks it's more to do with the allergic reaction to something (hives and swollen sheath) that he's having than the injection but I'm not entirely convinced. It does seem a bit of a coincidence.

at least the vet can properly put your mind at rest :) I just kept an eye on mine for a few hours but she seemed fine

Thanks. He said not to worry as he thinks it's probably not related. It seems as though it may be though. Horse seems OK now though (other than his initial allergy issues!) so, hopefully, it was a short lived reaction!
