My poor boy has come up in weeping lumps the size of my hand along his belly. I suspect horse flies.
Can I have suggestions for fly barrier-type creams that I can slap on.

Battles cream is great but stains stuff yellow. If you've a lighter coloured horse the nettex stuff is similar.

Of your horse really suffers with flies think about using the insecticide based sprays,, tritec 14 and Asorbine Ultra black.

Which ever you decide please do a patch test first. I bought some fly cream for my retired lads tummy/ sheath area. I slapped it on and it bought him out in huge sores.

Agree with this alot of those creams have neem or benzyl benzoate in and Arabi reacts to both of those his hair falls out and he rubs himself raw so please test.

Mix up a cup of apple cider vinegar and add to a spray bottle and fill with water and add 10 drops tea tree oil.Cheap and effective and you can spray your horse all under the belly. No nasty chemicals or additives just natural and easy on the pocket.
