yeah if you buy a decent one im sure it is.
Mine i got free with some fly spray i bought and it works wonders with harmony.

Don't like them. I think you are better off with a decent fly mask tbh. My horse got a badly sore eye from a fly fringe as the strands kept getting into her eye and scratched her cornea.

we used to make our own using wool/baler twine etc

I bought one for £3 as George really doesn't like the hoods and he seems happy with it and he no longer comes in with runny eyes.
