I have a cob with a rather large head...bless him...and I am trying to find a fly mask with a nose cover (he has a pink nose too which gets burnt in the summer) which is big enough for him. Anyone got any ideas please because if not I will be making one...!

I've just bought the premier equine rug and upgraded to the full face fly mask for two pound extra (normally about £12 I think) , for my sensitive tb mare... so far so good, hasn't fallen of, no rubs, she's happy with it. It's an obvious rip off of the cashel crusader but still brilliant. I got the large size which fits both the big headed tb and chunky CB. There is an extra large size too, which I was tempted to go for for the CB but large is a perfect fit. The nose cover, goes just about a fingers width past the nose so doesn't get in the way. Impressed so far

) How big is your cobs head? Suppose you could take some measurements and send them to different suppliers/manufacturers to see which would fit best?

Go out and buy a cashel crusader - best on the market - I have two for my boys and they wear them 24 x 7 in the summer. They are both endowed with very big pink noses and have no sunburn whatsoever.

The warmblood size is the equivalent to an extra full bridle - fits my clydesdale perfectly and the draft - is HUGE

Is actually too big for Cairo.

I will not use anything else as I have to have UV protection to keep Cairo's eye as safe as possible and as he has to wear it from April to October it has to be soft but tough and stay on.
