I need to buy my boy a nose cover that will protect from UV rays also he has a very pink nose and even tho I use total sun block (by naff) every morning he is rubbing it off and still getting burnt.
Can anyone recommend one that actually works? would prefer a fly mask one as dont really want to keep a head collar on as he doesnt have a field safe one.

PE full face fly mask with nose stopped my lad getting burned. I have actually now swapped to a field safe headcollar and Equilibrium nose cover as he wasn't liking having his eyes covered

If you wanted to stick with sun block try P20 - I find it fab for me

. All day cover that doesn't rub off

Not a mask but ozvet (orange label, black lid) sunblock is clay based and is by far the best block i have found because it doesnt come off and lasts all day. Much better than a cream/lotion. Not cheap but economical

As Dottie said, Cashel masks are very good and I use it on my very light pink appaloosa- pink around eyes and all over nose.

Had mine for 2-3 years, bought 2, they do a pink ear version for breast cancer. They block out 70% of uv rays-when I last checked. Covers my horses nose nicely.

Another vote for cashel - I have the ones with nose and ears and they keep my beasties huge pink noses in great condition with no sun block needed.

Never have rubbed and they wear them 24 x 7 from May to October. They are not the cheapest but they do last well.

I have an equilibrium one, couple of years old now and still doing the job, height of nose piece can be ajusted and no sunburn do like the look of the cashel ones too though.
