Fly Masks!!! arghhhh!

Does anyone have any tips!?! My horse has a pink muzzle and as well as putting tons of suncream on I also put a fly mask with a nose on to prevent him rubbing off the suncream (which ive watched the little toe rag do!). With suncream and fly mask he doesnt get burnt- happy days.

The problem is other horses either taking off or ripping off his fly mask. I have sprayed lots and lots of crib box on to the mask to discourage them from doing it, but they still seem intent. I have found the mask in neighbouring fields several times. Short of duct taping it to his head what can I do???

The Roma lycra flymasks have a tab loop at the bottom and top where you can thread the headcollar through to keep it on, they don't cover the nose though. Maybe you could sew a couple of soft fabric tabs on in the appropriate places to your existing mask and use a field safe headcollar to keep it on. In terms of the ripping, would love to know an answer to that myself!

Not hijacking thread but similar problem, I want to attach a mask to the fly rug, there is a loop at top of rug for headcollar, but I think headcollar will rub, I need to find a mask that I can attach to the flyrug!
