That delightful time of year again where the midgies (sp) are a nightmare, and i have the same dilema every year!

When i tried George with a full fly mask, he went ape and just ran backwards until i took it off, so instead got a fly fringe with ears as the little flys tend to annoy his ears more. These are fine in theory but then when he rolls it slips round or if he does shake his head it just slips off, so is no use at all, and a normal fringe doesnt solve the issue as its the midgies in his ears that are the problem.

So i did think i could get a mask and then cut the face out, but the flies will get inside anyway, uhh in a difficult situation really. Has anyone had the same problem and possibly found a solution to it??? HELP!!!

Depending on how aggressive he is when trying the face mask, could you put him in a safe area (eg small paddock) and just leave him to get settled in it?
