I know it's a silly question as I guess they all work. I have just seen a good offer on the Carr and Day and Martin fly repellant (yelloe bottle) and wondered if anyone would recommend it.

Thanks, Frankie xxx

I've got it. Works for about 10 mins then as soon as the horse starts to sweat he's covered in flies again.

TBH I don't think any of them are much good, I think they just make us feel better! I only put it on for work, never bother in the field as he only rolls until it's all gone anyway

is it the extra strength on (containing DEET)? if so its one of the better ones if its normal strength its not great. they only work as long as the horse isnt sweating though-not alot of help in this weather. I use it and put in on using a cloth 2 or 3 times a day.

I use flygone la and so far so good, no bites and a happy horse, seems to last all day and keep them at bay. plus good price, most people are put off as it has crummy packing but its worked for me.
