Fly Rug In Constant Rain!!! Feel so Bad!!

Didn't expect the rain to come in until this afternoon but it started at lunch time, thought it will pass but it's still chucking it down non stop!! Wouldn't normally complain as the fields really need it! Prob is my TB is out in his fly rug! I do leave him in it if it rains and not too chilly as he's one of the more hardy types, not a shiverer but if I know it's going to rain this much I would put him in a LW!!
He's at home so most people would probably suggest getting him in, dry him off and rug him! I wish I could!! He's in his summer routine so keeping him in for any longer than ten mins, he gets really stressed, I also have three swallow nests in his stable all with babies peering over the edge and mummy/daddy swallows just fly in and out stressing him even more!! Then to add to it, I have a small baby who at this time of night needs tea, bath etc!!
Basically the aim of this post is that I feel awful for him, not much I can do!! He'll be okay won't he?? Anyone else in the same boat or have theirs out in fly rugs in rain? It's a Rambo Protector and has the neck off also, so the rug is quick drying!! (Trying to make myself feel better!!)

Nice to know I am not the only one who worries, but they are herd animals designed to live out in all weather within reason. Those rugs dry really quick and probably trap some heat like a string vest.

Dont worry - Mine is too - I thought the rain was coming mid day - came at 6am - Horse looked happy and fine - (and good temp) - come middday!

I always feel like this as soon as it rains, luckily for some reason lastnight i put both of mine in lightweight rugs and since about 8pm we've had torrential rain... but now im worried they are too hot!!!!!
What are we like i expect they are perfectly fine but we just worry abut our babies!!!!!

Both mine are out rugless and it has been heavy raining non stop since early this morning and still drizzling now! both where sheltering under the tree but as soon as i moved the fence back for grass they where happily grazing in the pouring rain!!

I've got a sweet itchy out in full hoody rug, mask etc - he's going to be soaked. But he'll dry, and all his mates are naked, he'll survive and so will yours *hug*

Thanks for the support everyone! I feel much better! Although I go out and feed them around 7pm before putting baby to bed so will probably feel ever so guilty when I see him dripping! I checked them a few hours ago and they were stood under the tree, my other one's naked but he's an ID and overweight so he'll be fine!!

I nearly got one of those last year but thought it would be a pain, keep putting on and off but since then I got a spare Rambo Protector for him so I suppose I could leave it in one so he's got one waterproof and one not!!

I saw a horse today stuck in a soggy fly rug and wondered if it made them more uncomfortable, or wether they were rain proof.
