Fly rug or leave him???

I have just given donovan a full clip, so its more noticeable now how many flis are on him. I spray him every day, but should I use a fly rug or leave it. he is a sec b welshie, so I know he is pretty hardy and I dont want to mollicodle him!!

Any fly sprays I've ever used don't seem to work longer than 20 minutes or so, fly rugs are the best way to keep the pesky ******* off. Having said that some horses are less bothered by flies than others. Does he seem bothered? tail swishing, head shaking, itchy, standing at the gate? If not then leave him be.

If he is bothered by them stick it on it's not going to do any harm
