Fly rugs - do you or don't you?

My TB is naked, but my loan pony came in having rubbed his skin raw (turns out he has sweet itch) so he has one on! It needs adjusting quite often, and within a day of having it he'd ripped the shoulder, but he's much happier with it on. He was literally dragging himself along the floor to itch before, and charging up and down the field in sheer frustration poor boy!

yes, has saved us a small fortune in fly spray have amigo bug rugs for both of them, have never slipped and are much happier in them, think they actually keep my boy cooler in the sun as they are silver and he can get bad scabby reactions to bites. They seem happier with them on and they are then naked at night.
