Be really careful when using fly spray around your horses' eyes. Stupidly I sprayed some of the 'Phaser' spray directly on my mare's face last eve as i has forgotten my cloth, I thought I had covered her eyes. I went back just an hour later to take her fly rug/mask off and to my horror, her left eye was hugely swollen and weepy. I can only think it was the spray as I had seen her an hour earlier and her mask was on. I bathed it and having worried all night, was up at 5am to check her! Luckily it has gone right down and the eye looks fine, just a bit weepy still.

So, lesson learned, don't spray directly on face ........stupid me
 
ouch , I did not fly spray my mares eye,but she come in with a big eye like a fly had ago at her. I put a cold tea bag on it and by the next day all was good and how it should be.
