Right, so I have 3 horses to buy fly/UV rugs for, for this summer. Therefore I am obviously on a budget! They will need them + masks (gonna get equilibrium ones I think). Hector is obviously growing and he will be out with Berry - no doubt they will play, so both theirs need to be durable. Berry has HUGE shoulders! Any recommendations? I don't like the Rhinegold ones or Masta ones. thanks

mark todd ones are good.

PE are doing a good one aswell, not sure what they are like rubbing wise etc as i havnt used them, but all their other stuff is good. Their fly masks are on offer aswell, only £5.99, but they arent full face which i am assuming you want?

I have used the equilibrium ones before but much prefer the Cashel Crusader - have used them for several years on Cairo and last year on Chancer - they wear them 24 x 7 - no rubs, don't come off. Have a hole for the forelock to go through so no sweaty heads. They have a nose cover and I didn't need any sun cream on my lads rather large pink noses and they were in perfect kissable condition. They do cost a little more, but are worth it - Cairos is now 3 years old and worn from April to October and still without wear or tear.

ive just bought madam a Rambo sweet itch hoody and a cashel full mask. I was looking at the Rambo fly rug or the mark todd ones. They are all supposed to be very good.

DOnt go for the Weatherbeeta ones as they pull back and rub like mad

Weatherbeetas were both trashed with a month of buying last year.

Rambo sweetitch hoody and Rambo protector are both holding up much better - no rips or snags and they don't rub shoulders or manes. I'm debating an Amigo for Oscar....(they're now infused with long acting fly repellent)

Premier Equine's ones look good but won't have had any "reviews" yet as they're new so might be a bit of a gamble!

I really rate the weatherbeeta koolcoat, its cool, white, doesnt sweat up in it, keeps him cleanish, keeps him from bleaching and fit very well. very good value too.

I have to agree, I got a WB Kool Coat for Pride last year after a recommondation from here. It been great, P wore it all last year and I never had any trouble. I washed it at the end of the summer and its now in my tackbox awaiting this summer's sun

Have you tried the Amaroni fly sheet combo, it comes with the rug, mask and belly flap and is on sale at the moment at Divoza.co.uk. I bought two last week and they arrived in two days and they look really cool, fit well and most importantly they are UV resistant.

I bought a fal silver interactive off ebay for my old boy and was so impressed I bought another full price for my mare. Horse trashed it in 24 hours

It got caught on the gate.

Its damn well going to be mended!!

They are really soft and dont rub but the face masks are a waste of time as they come off. I used a rambo face mask but wasnt that impressed with these either. I bought some fab masks at badminton one year which lasted for several seasons but dont know the make!!!

Def recommend fal if you can get one of ebay. Otherwise I think the rambo hoody looks good as it is made from softer material.
