As title really, I'm moving to the Chester area soon and am looking for a flyball club to join. The nearest I can find is in Nantwich which is a bit far. Anyone know of any clubs nearer to Chester? I have a JRT X who is convinced she's a border collie and wants to get to Crufts ;)

Thanks in advance!

Yes, definately addictive, I started going to flyball training last July, did 2 starters competitions in January and went open 3 weeks ago (would have been earlier, but have to fit it in with agility and working every other Saturday). Even my old boy, 13 next month has done a few starters competitions, I'm trying to persuade my youngster, 14 months old, the benefits of playing ball, but she's not at all toy driven. It's my 5 year old, completely ball mad collie that I'm competing in open, here's a few pics of her in her 1st open competition.

Don't think we'll get to Crufts for flyball though, she did compete at Crufts this year, so never say never. At Crufts with her rosette, 4th place in Novice Agility.

Well done on your Crufts Agility. Brilliant.
You'll have to let us know when you are flyballing again and we could maybe meet up. My next one is next Sunday (19th June) at Bakewell. We are out most weekends.
I've got withdrawal symptoms this w/e as I can't go 'cos my Son is getting married tomorrow.
Silly boy, I told him to choose an Autumn date so I didn't miss flyball. (LOL)
re your dog who isn't toy oientated, Skye was like that when we first got her. Now she is brilliant. Just by playing with her, training and being with the other dogs.

Should have been at Padworth this weekend, but I'm working Saturday and my Skye's team and the 2 other teams she could run in are running Saturday, so I can't go. The next 1 I think I'll be at is Just Dogs, hopefully on the Sunday as I'm working again on Saturday.

I think the trouble with my youngster is that she is daughter of my ball mad girl, so the youngster lets her mum get the ball and just ambushes her when she comes back. I've been trying to backchain a retrieve, so far the best I've got is to touch the ball with her lips, I can't get her to open her mouth to even touch with her teeth let alone have the ball in her mouth.

OH is taking my dogs to Just Dogs live. I'm taking him and caravan to Peterborough, then I'm home as have to work that w/e. I'll be there Sunday afternoon though.

Hopefully see you there Sunday afternoon then. Come say hi, I'll be running a blue, heavily ticked BC or you may see me walking with a lilac, heavily ticked BC, so you can't miss us!

I'll look out for your dogs. Bertie may be in starters if they haven't already got 6 dogs, he's nearly 13 years old and has just started this year!

PS Yours are lovely dogs.
Thanks, your dogs look lovely too.
