Had a go at Flyball for the first time this weekend with my local dog club and it was absolutely brill! Loved it and so did my dog Buster.

Hi. I started 2 years ago and am absolutely hooked now. I go out nearly every weekend from now until September to tournaments. I'm going to somewhere near Selby for the weekend coming.The dogs absolutely adore it.
Tournaments are great fun. The teams are put into divisions so you are racing against teams with similar times.
I could go on for ever!
Going training tonight, so had better get my skates on or I'll be late.
I have posted on here several times about my dog's exploits, so if you are interested have a read.

How do you start learning how to do fly ball?
Im in 2 minds to do flyball or agility with beau? or should you do one before the other?

We started flyball with our 3 year old GWP about 6 months ago and she has her first competition on Friday this week (at Selby too!). She is just doing starters at the moment but she is very fast and reliable as she loves the ball so much.
We are just trying to get her puppy interested now (she is 10 months) but she has never really been interested in the ball though she will do anything for food! She is going to start doing some very low key agility as well which she has already shown a keen interest in (running through tunnels etc)

Ahhh thats cool, I keep trying to find some agility classes round me (in bolton) for during holidays! Beau is 9mnth old so would also only be low key a.k.a. no jumping! (not that I can stop him jumping around like a nutter in the house!)

Sorry I missed you Goya as I had to leave before you arrived.
Very pleased to report that Pippa and her team got 2nd place, really proud of them as 3 of the team were competing for the first time! They actually drew for first but as the other team were the only team to beat our team they won overall.
