Get lessons?! I was having problems getting my boy to do it (and still am a bit!) as I didn't really know how / when to ask for it. I had a flatwork lesson and said I wanted to concentrate on flying changes. It really helped me get the right feel for how it's done. Although we're still not getting it right at home, I can get him to change in front fine but not behind (so he goes disunited), I know its a balance thing like Im throwing him off balance or he's not collected enough. You'd think a fizzy TB should be better at getting the hang of it as he should be nice and bouncy already!
Yep get a good trainer to teach you but also make sure before you teach flying changes, to make sure you can do counter canter first otherwise you may well have problems in the future if you want to do dressage or eventing x
