Hello all,

I have a 15.3 ID who is suffering really bad with the flys, I have been feeding her garlic since we got her last sep and it has made a huge difference as they don't seem to be biting her body to bad.

The problem I have are her ears they are all over them in side and out (like little bug like flys) they ate very sore and bluddy
 
Sorry my phone posted before I finished!! I clean them out daily and have been putting barrier cream in them, is there anything else I can do or put on them? I have a fly mask but it covers her whole face do they do an ear one that doesn't cover her eyes?

i would buy a ear/muzzle covering fly mask - just had shires ones off ebay for £6 inc postage!!!!!!
use Deosect fly but remember to dilute it. its about £30 but lasts a long time. i used to use Ridect cattle fly but with the EU rules and fluff you cant get it anymore :'( was amazing stuff and lasted weeks, instead of a few hrs like usual horse stuff.

use sudocrem - its amazing for healing, grazes, bites, stings, sunburn :) also acts as a barrier.
been using it by the bucketload for my girl who had a huge photosensitivity allergy reaction and nose was caked with crusts after burning in the no-sun! really great and worked for her :)
