These are pictures of the last foal of the season for me, the one who was very late, and is now aged about 4 weeks. She is by Stravinsky xx out of a Swedish mare by Bartok, and is an absolute dude.

I've been impressed with Stravinsky for a long time, and have got two cracking fillies by him this year - Vera (the coloured one) and this little lady, who has been tested to be Black (despite looking certainly brown in some of the pictures) This foal was over a month overdue and was nothing but legs when she was born, but is now filling out nicely and beginning to grow into her legs (and ears).

I like Stravinsky too, he seems to throw really typey foals and they all seem to move, yours is no exception from the look of her.

Personally I think we are very fortunate to have the opportunity to have him here in the UK

She is really lovely - if I had a mare I would use Stravinsky like a shot! Sadly my only horse posesses neither ovaries or testicles.

She is lovely. You must be very proud of her. Can't wait to see her when she becomes fully black.

Thank you - I am proud of her, and I think she is cracking. I suspect she will stay with me for a little while - I had intended to sell her, but she really is very nice. Also I'm finding the market difficult at the moment - nobody is buying.

Still, means we get to enjoy her that little bit longer! She may have to go if nobody wants the coloureds though.
