Needing some advice on where and how to register my foal.
The Stallion is Jumbo who i believe is registered with the Irish Horse Register and the Sports horse breeding of Great Britain. I have a covering certificate from him for the foal.
When i got my mare 9 years ago she came with an Irish Horse register foal identification certificate but no passport as this was not needed. When the passports came into force i got her a Pet Id one as these were the ones recommended by my vet.
I have been in contact with the Irish Horse Register who inform me that in order to register the foal i need to get an updated marking chart done for my mare (which i have) and they will issue her with a irish passport and then I am able to get the foal registered by providing DNA sample and markings chart.
Basically being a first time breeder and no previous experience in registering foals was wondering which is the better to register the foal with?
Many thanks in advance
