Hi, anybody have any advice, experience on foaling. The vet came yesterday after a false alarm and said she was i n stage 1 of labour with a increased heart rate and a relaxed cervix, last night all she did was eat and lay down once for 20 mins. is she stil i nlabour or degressed?
 
She's probably holding off till everything quietens down. A lot of mares will look like they're all set to go but if anything disrupts them (noises, people, whatever) they will stop and hold off for a while. It sounds like she is obviously very close so I would keep a very close eye on her and try to make sure the yard, etc is nice and quiet as much as possible.
