foals in season any info /???????

Most mares have their first season during their first or second year. But it does depend on their maturity and growth rate.

None of ours have had a season until they were two.
 
yeah our foal from last year hasn't come into season yet and shes year and near five months but she did start showing in season at 9 months when she was in the field with a stallion we had to move her and our coloured was around 18months when she showed.
 
Our fillies tend to have a transitional heat at about 9 months old and then come in proper at around 12 months. I wouldn't worry about it, they're all different and I'm sure once the weather heats up a bit she'll come into a regular cycle.
