Why does my foal eat horse poo? Is this normal and is it ok for him to do it?

totally normal in foals!! the thought behind it is that they are trying to boost their own internal microflora in their gut.

Ill stop worrying now!! It is disgusting though and i am really going to have to remember not to kiss him for a while!!
