It certainly is, nick names can stick though, my Section D was a huge gangly bag of bones for a good while as a youngster, and although he had a lovely registered name, his nick name of Bones stuck until until he died 29 years later.

funnily enough, i actually quite like 'bones' as name!!
we had one last year that got referred to as 'the feisty troll' for a good while- luckily we managed to change that one to fudge but it was touch and go whether she'd stay as 'troll'!!!
