THE VERY BEST NEWS!!!
Said big horse is currently feeling very very well! The cortisone jab has finally kicked in and he's lost a lot of weight which must help. He's in light work at the minute- mostly short plods but this is fine as i feel it gives him an interest.
Yesterday i decided the ground was good and a lovely grass field had been cut so i gave him the reins and said his favourite words "go on then" and off he went up to the top of the field where he pulls up.....only he didn't it took a whole circuit of large field to stop the beast! I ache today like you wouldn't believe form trying to pull him up. ;-)
when he did stop he was really animated and snorty prancing absolutely loving it.
Now normally a horse pi***** off with his rider obviously wouldn't be ideal but in this case i am celebrating! He feels good and seems happy again, where as i'm not going to encourage buggering off with me i'll give him that blow out, just this once
))
I know its not long term buy we are enjoying a good patch
