Follow on from New Horse Worries

So my boy came home last weekend and is very happy and settled quickly. I think he must have missed me as he has been very happy to see me every day. He loaded and travelled perfectly and has been very well behaved since he has returned.

I took him out in hand for a walk on his own and he went happily without hesitation even past a tractor!

I'm going to ride him tomorrow in company so I will let you know how I get on

I am so happy to have him home and feel much more relaxed with him than before so I think it's definitely making a difference with him.

That's good news - he is a hansome fella.

Sometimes you just need a break for a situation to feel more confident.

I managed to scare myself earlier today when she did a big takeoff into canter - so today is a should've bought a pony day.

Well............... I ended up riding him out on his own with my friend on foot leading the way and he was FAB! A little hesitant to start but a little tap on his bum and he was well on his way. He did walk very slow but we made it. On the last stretch he tossed his head about a little but the most important thing is he did not spin or do anything silly like before. I have never been happier

He also showed us his jumping skills today by jumping out of his field twice.

Do here is my beautiful man who hopefully has turned a corner .
