Not great photos but, as promised in this thread, some pics of the bridle in question. I'm no tack connoisseur - does this look like a Jeffries?

Hm, not sure, they do do a raised and stitched style like that, I will find a pic of one of mine in PB and send it you to compare against.
 
Yep, looks like a Jeffries bridle to me, the cheek piece is finished as all of the ones we have in the shop are. You can request to have stuff plain with no stamping on it or badges so it is smarter for showing.
 
I was saying to the op, I have several jeffries bridles and the branding seems entirely random!

Some of mine have Jeffries stamped on them, in an oval outline, some dont have the outline. Some dont have sizing stamps, some do. None of mine have browband studs or anything as they are mainly from the traditional range, bar one very old inhand bridle.
