After having back/teeth/bit/vet(general all ok) checked I bit the bullet and took India on a sponsored ride on Sunday. After having a lesson (which went okay) on Saturday I really felt confident that she was going to be just fine.
Sponsored ride came and went, she was a little frisky at the start but jumped brilliantly all afternoon! Gave her monday and tuesday to recover (secretly I couldnt walk either!!). Hacked out with a friend yesterday and as we set off walking past her field she got all nappy and started getting quite light in front! This is not the first time it has happened and before I have put it down to soreness or confusion and now I am totally convinced that it is cheeky madam behaviour. I dont want to create a row with her but if the other horse hadnt of been there Im sure it would have lasted much longer. I dont want to smack her and I have tried the 'WALK ON, WALK ON' and leg aids but still she perseveres until SHE is ready to go forward.
I must also mention that she is only just 5 and I have been expecting a naughty streak for a while. What suggestions would you make to iron out this behaviour before it becomes more serious.
Thanks
