follow up on my naughty mare whilst lungeing

i have long reined her tonight and she was an absolute angel. started by having someone lead her round while she got used to the lines, then they just walked with her letting me quide her, then they walked away and let me walk her alone. she was abit confused to start with but picked it up really well and not a hint of bolshiness to be seen just walked her about for abit on each rein and im gonna do this once a week until she really understands it then i will bring the line round halfway through session and try lungeing her.

to answer some questions on the last thread, its not her back she has been checked and i don't always start on the same rein.

i have heard that at the stud where she came from they only lunge on one rein per session, and i think she has got it into her head that once iv'e done the first rein shes finished as thats when my problems start. she always does the first rein fine no matter which one it is.

also for anyone who thinks i should use the whip or force, i will never do this so please don't waste your time telling me to do this

Glad you've got her long reining nicely. She'll get more confident and understand more after a few sessions so keep at it, you'll get there
