If you know it is green because of the spring grass why is it deemed bad and why do you need to feed bran etc?

Asking out of genuine interest - ive noticed my horses poo is greener but didnt worry thinking it was just due to spring grass - from reading another post Im now thinking its not just natural and you should try and stop it?

well, I have never heard that and i certainly wouldn't want to be feeding my horses bran. More lush grass grows in spring/summer so in my opinion it's only natural the poo is greener. When you feed hay in the winter, the poo is drier and a browner colour generally. Grass is a natural laxative so i would prefer my horses to be pooing green grass poo than bunging them up with bran.

Green poo with spring grass is natural. In fact greenish poo for any normally kept horse who has access to grass is normal! Who told you to feed bran to combat it??????????!!!!
