A little happy thread from somone very proud of their pony!
Firstly, apologies for the rider looking like a chavvy 13 year old...I was trying to make the most of the last of the british summer and wasn't expecting a photographer! The second apology is for the pony's tummy. He is on week 5 of enforced rest and seems to be breathing calories. I can't wait until I can start working him properly again.
In the mean time, we have done a few sessions a week bareback to give us both something to think about, and yesterday we launched our latest game, garrocha! After musing to my dad that i'd quite like to have a go at it one day, he turned up with his latest creation. Not sure bareback was the most sensible chance to try given that not so long ago this was pony's default reaction to new things:
So we introduced it from the ground:
Then, tried it on for size:
Leg yield:
And under we go!
Anyone else tried it or know of people who teach it in this country?
Plus, clever pony managed the rope trec gate sans tack! Big pats!
He's such a dude!
And a little hands free spanish walk...definitely his favourite!

Right, back to the housework!
