Following on from dog attack on hack..............

The owner of the dog came to the yard last night to tell us she had just had her dog put to sleep.

She obviously knew that the dog had no future and it was best for every1 this way.

I feel quite sad and lost some sleep last night over it. I know i shouldnt feel like this.

How sad but what a responsible owner. She definately should be commended for her actions, it's just a shame you were on the receiving end of the original attack.

its sad that the owner didnt take proper control of a dog who has been known to be agressive. me and my horse were attacked by a rotweiller on the beach in summer last year. it resulted in me still ont he beach and my horse galloping to a car wash, down a busy road about a mile away! reported the man and dog to the police but nothing was ever done. luckily with a bit of rest my mare was ok. but that dog too was off the lead and the owner had no re-call.

it is sad but very sensible for the owner to do this,maybe it mite have been a child next time !! dont feel sad you didnt make her do it

It is sad, but you are not responsible. The dog obviously had issues. It sounds like the owner is very responsible and will not have taken the decision lightly.

Sad, but as has been said, a very responable owner, it must have been hard for her, but absolutely the right thing.

Please don't feel bad about it. The owner of the dog is obviously a responsible person - luckily you were unharmed, but it could have been quite a different story.

Thanks guys. I think i feel bad being a dog owner i think to my self "what if that was one of mine?" i would be distraught.
