Similar story here - where we live on the shrop/welsh borders, we have a wealth of fun rides to enjoy, and much prefer these to competing now.

Better value for money, no stress, no hanging around for 2 hrs for 5 mins in the ring, and optional tack cleaning!!! Our horses love them too.

I am desperate to get the pony out but am currently transportless. Its making me lose interest in driving a bit. I feel so aimless. Im trying to work out how I am getting the transport back on the road again as I need that focus.
I feel your pain!
I do have a driving pony and I have a trailer but the trailer can take the pony or the carriage but not both
Plus I am missing a capable groom so have to grab someone when I can.
End result is that getting out on a drive is rare!

One of the major reasons I don't go out as much, is the roads are too busy. South East, have beautiful hacking, care of farm owner. Only travel certain distances as don't want horses stuck in trailer/traffic jams. Newmarket ride is our main each year. Depending on fitness achieved.
