Ok guys. Unfortunately, being young and not able to drive. I cant reach the HHO big dog walk. Now, Im going to ask my Nan if I can borrow her dog, and go for a humongous long walk and hopefully raise money for Macmillan (We lost my Great Uncle to Lung Cancer, and Nans just finished treatment for cancer) so its a charity close to our heart. Now obviously both me and the dog need to be physically fit. What ideas would you suggest to get him nice and fit instead of constantly running etc?? And how do you know when the dog is fit enough to do it?

Thanks!

Nick.

The Dog Walk is done where ever you want to do it, you don't need to get anywhere to do it!

As Hen says you can do the big walk wherever you like

To get a dog fit, walking is good, just build up the distance. Swimming is also excellent exercise for doglets (and people too!)

He'll get fitter gradually, you'll see the difference in how long he keeps running out on a walk, and in how tired he is afterwards

Whatever walk you decide to do, good luck!
