I am 23. I've only ever BSJA'd and pony clubbed all my life. Can I wear my competition gear for hunting, or do I need a new outfit?!

Horse has black tack, bridle with brass buckles. I have a black jacket with brass buttons, white&cream jods, white stock, black hat.

Is black ok, or do I have to go the green/brown tweed route (yuck :p )

i'm the same i only have a navy JTE showjumper-type hat, navy jacket with silver buttons and white jods. However as long as you're tidy and well turned out I was told it doesn't matter that much about what you're wearing, what you've got sounds fine

cream/beige breeches are best. black/navy jackets are fine (matching hats) tho if lightweight jacket get some thermals on!
tack to fit the horse (clean) and black boots(horse) if you need them! as long as you are clean and tidy (to start at least) and you have paid your cap then you will be fine!!! most hunts are very welcoming and if unsure ask the cap collector to find someone to show you the ropes!

Thanks both :)

Everything is clean and good nick. The last thing you need to worry about on your first day is wearing the wrong thing! Woulda different coloured stock be better?
