Following on my post the other day about my confidence issues in the ring trainer suggested we went to Norton Heath to just pop round the dinky classes to try and get me to relax and enjoy it.
Well what a sussessful evening it was
only jumped the 1st 2 classes which were small but i needed to do it to make my head realise i can ride and get round.
My 1st class was a bit unstylish but we got round with just 4 faults in 1st phase. To my total suprise we ended up 4th.
In the 2nd class i felt really good i sat up rode, checked in every place i needed to and was mega chuffed to come out with a double clear. Sadly we didnt get placed but those that did had gone flat out round the 2nd phase in a very untight (dragging horses round at a gallop) sort of manner.
Trainer was really pleased with my 2nd round, reckons its the best he's ever seen me ride a course
Gonna stick to the smaller classes for next month or so and really concentrate on riding like i did last night
