... the other night and all of your reassuring posts, just to say that my dad took down the dividing wall in their stable today. And......




























































all is well (so far)!!!

They have been in since 4.30 and there hasnt been a peep. H who is normally in the back half of the stable, is just constantly up the door looking out, must be such a novelty as its the first time in 2 years. He could see out before but he always had to look over S's head. S is at the back of the stable, away from the weather, kissing D through the grill between the two stables. Both seem happy and relaxed, so am just waiting to see how over night goes. Thankfully from my room i can hear every, cough, sneeze and fart they do, so if there is any problems i can sort them straight away. Fingers crossed for a peaceful night!

Our pony shared a very large walk in double stable with a TB gelding happily for many years, and then when we bought our TB mare he also shared with her for a while, the only reason we separated them was because he was on restricted diet and she needed ad lib hay. They got on very well and I am sure yours will be fine too
