I've been in touch with the Secretary who tells me their autumn hunt meets are at The Kennels on Saturday 14 and The Black Cock on the 21. Unfortunately I'm competing with the Scurry Driving Association in Belfast on 21 so will hopefully go to the one on the 14th but don't know where the Kennels are! Was just wondering if anybody here does. Thanks!

Would the hunt thank you for that?

I dont harrass anyone. I have good relations with all the hunts i go to in a wierd way. We pit our wits againts each other and to be honest I reckon a lot of the huntsman like us being there, it gives them someone to try and outsmart.

I was sick of being told that i knew nothing of hunting because id never seen it, so i decided a few yrs ago that it was time to see what it was all about.

You can't come out with NELS that often and stand by that statement!!

I've always thought you guys feed off eachother. Getting enjoyment from the process leading up to the death of an animal. Deary deary me!

I've switched from going out with the hunt to being a hunt monitor.

No one can tell the difference, least of all me!

On things for sure, if you're right that the hunts can still legally flush out and chase wild mammals then I'm not surprised you're still sabbing rather than trying to get the law enforced.

I have no idea, I've tried to get the law enforced but the police haven't been interested.

It must be frustrating though when the huntsmen go past you with a pack of hounds chasing a fox and you know that there is nothing you can do to stop them.

Endy,

You stated:

''I hardly go out with NELS at all these days but they do get on well with most hunts''

Are you drunk?
