Our fields are like paddy fields and and our lane is like a river. Here we are today going through the water - how is everyone else managing?

Mine is soaked with water everywhere...not a lot you can do though...it will dry out and my horse does not seem bothered about eating grass through water puddles!!! Anyway it is raining again now!!!!

Our fields are sloping so not as bad as some - although worse than I've seen them as we can barely get through the puddle in the gateway as it's so huge! Plus we have to walk a short stretch of chalky hill up to the road from the main field gateway, and it's so slippy I have to literally hold onto headcollars (we lead two at a time) and be pulled up! Good job I've got a carthorse!
As for riding, I have to start walk work with mine today

only half an hour though, I can't imagine doing longer in this wet!

Field has been a bit muddy round the gate the past couple of weeks but we had a lovely sunny day yesterday so is all pretty dry atm - raining again today but never gets too bad as we have VERY well drained fields

- Anyone jealous?

all our fields are surrounded by the river or streams and they are hideous, there is also no drain under the tap so all that excess water runs straight into 2 of the fields as well..one of the mares wont go in there field now as she refuses to walk through the mud anymore, she is now taken through the menage which is in there field. and its raining here to

Never seen so much rain ever - I need to get the horses in with "waders" now at the bottom of the gate.
But that mud that he wouldn't let me brush off his ears last week is still there???? Shouldn't the rain have washed it off by now!!

Its not too bad here, ground is quite wet but its not really been that bad so far. Its supposed to get worse though. My field is really hilly so usually some of it keeps dry!

Our fields are waterlogged - we are not turning out at all and haven't for weeks now

Really annoying thing is 1/2 a mile away the soil changes and the fields appear in great nick

our livery place is usually ALWAYS dryish even in the rain day after day, but finally we now have sloppyish mud! Its definately very wet out there for us to have to wear wellies to catch in!
