sorry if this a bit of a rant
when i was younger i did a lot of fund raising for the RSPCA but 4 years ago that all changed.
backgound info=
i used to groom for some people who had irish drafts, they had a fantastic mare who died after having a foal now this foal's sire was gelded so hes the last of an era, this foal had first class treatment hand rearing and adoptive racehorse mummy (which cost a fortune). foal was sold at 6months to someone who helped out for that show season as i was working my own horse more. this person was local. when i found out who had bought the foal my blood ran cold i just knew something bad would happen (i did work experiance with this person which was hell) 4 months after the sale of the foal (who i'd never seen) i saw a foal through a hedge while driving and thought i know that horse amazing movement !the farmer who i get hay off brought some hay for me and asked if i'd check a horse that was in one of his fields (the one i'd driven past) as the headcollar was a bit tight and the owner couldn't get near it. then he said who owned it as you can guess it was this person . so i drove to the breeders and said i'd found the foal and what farmer had said. so me and breeder went with a pair of scissors .......
nothing can say what we were met with here are some photos... (sorry quite big)
rspca was called straight away. owner said she couldn't get near him .so how come hes so close to us and we found he had a ticklish spot !
the headcollar he was wearing is that he was sold with in. and it was on the same holes 3 months on! head collar had gone an inch into the bone. poor baby...
guess what the outcome of this case was ...
she didn't get a warning !
she still owns the horse (weve offered thousands for him)!!!
in other words rspca did nothing
WHAT ARE THEY FOR????
