following on from RIP Paddy

Everyone deals with the grieving process differently, but I know it will take me a long time to get over Stella; she is a one-in-a-million pooch.

What have they called the new pup? Is it a Golden Retriever as well?

It is up to everyone how they deal with it, two weeks after my (best pony ever) pony dropped dead I had a new one, doesn't mean I wasn't grieving (still not totally over it 4yrs later!) just something to divert the mind.

When my Springer Spaniel died 1 week before we went on holiday we had all vowed never to have another dog, as we couldn't possibly love another dog the way we had loved Bluff.

While we were on holiday, all we could think about was dogs! The owner of our cottage had a dog, everyone on the beach had dogs, there were dog advertisements in shop windows, and then of course we were re-visiting all our beloved dog's favourite haunts without her.

The feeling that something was missing was intense and I just couldn't wait to get home to get another four-legged friend! Within a week we had our new dog. Not a replacement as she has her own character, but another much loved family member.

I don't think it's ever too soon to get another dog, as once you have had one it must be so hard to live without a wet nose in your face every morning, and a waggy tail when you come in the front door.

our dog Cassie died a few weeks ago and I already want another pet. But nothing will ever replace cassie and she has pride of place on my desktop.

I just need and like the love an animal brings and feel the house seems empty without it.

My aunts springer was PTS on a Saturday morning, by that afternoon she had a springer pup. Her brotehr went and bought her it. She said it's really helped her grieving. Although her other brotehr was so unimpressed and thought it so heartless he wouldn't go near the house for weeks.
