Summer = tabard
winter = full coat.

PS...where was my horse yesterday

Horse was located in stable.... due to fact that lorry was totally refusing to start!!!! Think lorry like owner, batteries runing low in cold weather and slight lack of motivation going on!

Lorry hastens to add that stupid owner forgot that tax has run out too!!!!

Ovidius also refused to have his leg wraps removed as it was far too cold for him! LOL! (Having said that he has promised to come out and play when owner gets act into gear and taxes said horse vehicle)

Might this be by 20th january? Next moulton unaff SJ. Have to say yesterday was really good. Nice to have well built courses at unaff (BSJA course builder et moi). Smallest jump of the day = 35cm, largest 1.12mtr so something for everyone.

We wear, exercise sheet with tail flap, full hi-viz jacket, hat band and bridle kit. Only difference in summer is I wear a tabbard not the jacket - it has been said we can be seen from space!

I have a lovely Musto yellow coat that I wear in the winter months.

Must admit to not tending to wear anything in the summer - unless they day is grey.

If I am just hacking round the back fields then I just wear my florescent pink tabard in case i fall off people will see me from a distance. If I am hacking any further I have a hi viz exercise sheet, martingale, leg wraps and a hat band. IMO you can never wear too much hi viz!

Yellow hat cover plus hat band all occasions
Fleece lined yellow coat with reflective strips in winter
yellow tabard or yellow polo shirt with reflective strips in summer

plus

leg bands and occasionally (depending on weather), exercise sheet and flashing light on arm or tail of sheet!

No-one is going to have the excuse that they didn't see me! Plus, I think drivers respect me more and slow down much sooner.

Always a tabard even when hacking in the woods so that the paramedics could find my body if I fell off. You may laugh but having done basic level mountain rescue training you'd be amazed how hard it is to find a body lying on the ground when the casualty is wearing outdoorsy colours like green, black or navy.

Exercise sheet in winter and on dull days.

always a hatband and reflective patches on gloves. have a tabard for summer. fluorescent/reflective 3/4 length coat in winter. horse has leg bands.
I wont/dont ride on the roads if cars need to have lights on.

Winter, Spring, autumn - high viz yellow builders jacket and leg bands on my horse. Summer - high viz light weight jacket as a minimum.

Currently a tabard, exercise sheet with light and leg bands if we go on the roads, no leg bands in the woods as I am fed up of taping them on so they don't come off. Also I alway ride out with a tabard on if I go out on my own in the park to make it easier for the rescue helipcopters to see me, daft but it might save my life one day.

I have a yellow with fluorescent stipes jacket that I got in a fishing chandlers shop, an exercise sheet with fluorescent stipes and a hat silk with yellow triangles on it. In summer its a tabard and a thin yellow exercise sheet issued by the Ministry of Defence.

always wear a full floures coat & hatband with horse wearing leg bands/boots & bridle kit, i make a 'martingale' using a neck strap & bridle pieces in a V shape. horse wears a floures ex sheet on cold/wet/dull days

I wear a hatband, jacket, stirrup bands and reflectives, and gloves. He wears an exercise sheet, bridle kit and breastplate. If I'm going on the proper roads then he wears leg bands as well. I wear it summer and winter, even if I'm just going in the fields - I hope I'd be found quicker if I fell off!

i wear a vest with flashing lights with tabard underneath.

pony wears a bright pink ex sheet & breast plate. other items i have but don't always use are hat band, leg bands and arm/eg bands for me when i have time i put them all on or if its very bleak outside i put everything i have on.
