Someone on ebay selling a Lidl numnah with a starting price of £9.99! And thats not including the £4.41 postage!! Think i'd rather pop down to my local Lidl and pick up one for £3.99 and prehaps get a matchy match fleece and bandage set for £7.99. Then I could look like you ultra cool matchy matchy riders and still save myself £2!!

MY LIDL RUG IS S**T!!!
the buckle/catch at the front is sewn on the wrong way!! - Do you think I can complain? Is anyone elses sewn worng?

My sis just got me both in brown, I looked on ebay too and thought LOL! if thay are that hidious Ill just make a profit! Pleased to see someome measured the rug at 5'6 or 5'9 at least I know it will fit ponio.

Anyone got theirs? are they really horrid or passable as spares ?

Yes take it back if it's dodgy and demand either swap for one that is right or if there is none left a full refund. I very nearly bought one today but managed to walk away:p

Have you seen she's selling the rug as well?

(If they're under 6' they won't fit any of mine - I can let them go at the bargain price of £8.99 plus postage at cost!)

^^ I am, of course, joking, but if they are too small for me will happily pass the rugs, less bandages, on at a fiver plus post at cost.

I looked at the rug they had out of the packaging with a fleeting glance - doesn't look sturdy enough, very poor quality, threads hanging etc. Did buy a saddle cloth, is OK, not tried it on, but measured it against the nice fitting black one we have and I think it'll be fine.

My catch was the wrong way round as well! Have managed to sort it and it will do as a spare but the bandages are the weirdest ive ever seen lol! I guess you get what you pay for, it will do as an under rug tho. Saddle cloth wasnt too bad however, ok for just hacking in.

When they had them before a while ago my friend bought one and it was a very peculiar shape, sort of tubular? Also the straps and surcingles were sewn on the inside of the rug, very like some of the cheap imports you can buy which seem to have been made or designed by someone who has never actually seen a live horse!

Oh my days just looked at link i knew some1 would try that but really its ridiculas lol

When there was a Lidl promo here a few years back it was fab and had everything from Cool Ice Gel, saddle soap, plus rugs headcollars etc. Have to say the 6'6 fleece coolers are still going strong, although griend bought a stable rug which just had a head opening, no buckles on the front completely stitched but think it was deliberate.

Any way, you say about Ebay, my local EC tack shop bought loads in bulk and put a large mark up on all the lotions and potions. Now THAT IS OUTRAGEOUS. You will be glad to know its still gathering dust on his shelves and quite right too!!!!
