Hello

I rarely ventured into this section, but noticed the thread on the main board.

Can I please make a plea that horses be named without pillock potential for any future owner, should they use the horse for a discipline you hadn't envisaged.

I'm the doting owner of a "Good Moves" who was bred to jump. He's by Goodboy (by Candyboy). Whilst he does move well, he ain't Totilas and doesn't compete dressage under this name.

Thanks

Whilst I sympathise with your request in principle, in practice, finding original-but-not ridiculous names for new foals each year is REALLY hard.

I know one called "Horizontal Herbert", which might have suited him as a very laid back foal, but now... well needless to say, the registered name is confined to his passport!!!

There were two names that slipped through the net at Weatherby's lol
Mary Hinge and Joe Blob...need I say more ? LOL

The best one I saw was a Point to Pointer that beat the horse I looked after (he came second and was called 'Boddler') was a mare by Queens Hussar out of Mae West and she was called 'Hussy' lol
