Monty bit me last night (he's in one of his black moods at the moment) and I called him that. In fact, he quite often gives me reason to.

However, I am worried now that, by calling him what is essentially an inanimate object, I might be mistaken as not regarding him as a sentient being.

Should have heard what I called my horse this morning, after her "mare" moment!
Turned up - she was covered in sh*t stains (grey horse)
Groomed and washed etc - gleaming!
turned back to pick up headcollar to tie her up outside stall
Turned back round and the little (well big at 17 hh) *^(&*£& had rolled in all her crap again!

Lesson learnt!!

I call Mr Mackenzie sh*tbag all the time, in fact I think everyone on here knows I do, he even comes to call when I shout that to him
grin.gif
....well when there is no one around, I'm not potty mouthed

but is he is sh*tbag, it totally suits him and I think he rather likes it

and it makes me chukkle every time I call him it...so who cares

Ahhh... so when I shrieked that at 6am one morning and actually made the yard cat run off that was wrong was it.....

It was a cold morning and it really hurt!

Oh, and how do we feel about buggerlugs? Because I use that as a term of affection

Monty is usually referred to as 'ultimate dur-brain' due to his love of weaving........even though he lives out!

After dinner he must have 5 minute of weaving followed by 5 minute of licking the gate

Old habits die hard!

Hey, cold mornings, toes stomped on, anything goes in my books if it makes me feel better

Erm not sure if I dare post this but on a REALLY REALLY bad day when there are too many small ears around to be swearing Roo has been called "salami". Normally though on a bad day it can range from anywhere from wonky donkey, to Fwit.

Generally he will respond to whatever you call him just in case you brought food...

Perfectly acceptable! In fact we've got one whose stable name is Jack Sh*t! (His registered name is Gentleman Jack - proving once again that giving a horse a GOOD name is a BAD idea! Jack Sh*t suits him Much better!

)

Say hello to Jack Sh*t!

Oh surely something that cute cannot be a sh*t already?

Oh yes he can!

He came out of the mare screaming: "I'm a stallion - look at me!" So we did - and said: "You MIGHT be a stallion - or you might be a GELDING!!! Your choice!"

Trouble is, he's exceptionally smart - nicest colt his Mum has produced for me - and she's a very good mare. And he MIGHT be black!! So I don't WANT to geld him - but the little bu**er is begging for it!

How about 'Pedigree Chum'?

Jack Sh!t - I can see where you're coming from, he def has a 'hey laaaadies - I have arrived' look in his eye...
grin.gif

I must admit I really don't like people referring to my Shetland pony as a Sh*tland. I find myself offended on her behalf.

Anyway, she responds better to cowbag!

The boys are normally referred to, collectively as 'you bunch of pillocks'

He does! And he's the first of 3 full brothers to just SCREAM "I am a stallion!" at me. The other 2 - a yearling and a 2 year old - were both very nice looking and well put together - they just didn't have the 'WOW' factor a stallion HAS to have (so they're now very nice geldings!
grin.gif
) Mind you, they were better mannered foals than Jack Sh*t!
