Disgusting!! That poor, poor mare! Walking on the soft tissue with her hooves growing backwards! Can on ly imagine the pain. Hope that woman gets what she deserves! :mad:
 
Omg that's horrible! That brought tears to my eyes. How on earth can people let things get like that. Poor poor horse :(
£10,000 fine is not enough IMO I wish she could feel the pain she's put that horse through.
 
I was watching the vid, feeling uncomfortable.

Then I glanced at her back feet and nearly fainted.

RIP poor baby.
 
and the owner gets banned from keeping equines for 10yrs. How about life and a prison sentnce on top of that! Still don't think the sentences these people get are antwhere near as harsh enough for all the sufferig these poor animals endure

Couldnt agree more. Truly horrendous video, felt sick just watching it so what it must have been like for those actually involved ...

My sister linked me this last night while I was at the yard so only read the story and thought it was horrific. Then this moring I saw the video and was actually speechless!! That poor poor mare - how *******ing cheap do you have to be not to fork out 20 quid every 8 weeks to get your horse trimmed. And the horse wasn't starved so she was obviously feeding it which means she much have seen her feet on a regular basis and CHOSE to ignore them!! I actually cannot get my head around how anyone could let this happen, the mind boggles.

Also, why the hell hasn't she been given a lifetime ban considering that is the worst case of neglect one of the countries leading vets has ever seen. 10 years is FAR too lenient!
 
Just watched the video. Surely someone must have seen that poor mare during the years it has obviously taken for the feet to grow like that? I am lost for words..... The suffering she has gone through is unimaginable. What a terrible shame she never had the chance to walk like a normal horse. I hope she is galloping pain-free in horsey Heaven now. The judge must have assumed that the awful owner would be past the age of wanting to keep horses in another 10 years, she will be 71 or 72 ? Shame she didn't get to spend those years in the same sort of agony she put that poor horse through. R.I.P. little mare.
 
poor poor horse thank god some one's done something but it didn't happen overnight why hadn't someone seen what was going on before it came to this ?????
OK maybe its a private field not overlooked by anyone but someone had to know about it !!!
totally agree should have been a life ban !! but at least they got a good result.
1. shoot horse
2. shoot owner but make it painful ( I'd volunteer but id imagine there's a Que)
