My OH came out with me on Sunday to get some videoing practice, using me and my horse. When I watched the footage afterwards I noticed that I seem to be moving my arms backwards and forwards in time with my horses head movement...ok, perhaps this is normal in a 'giving' kind of way...but should it actually be pronounced?
Should I have a more still arm and do the 'giving' with my fingers or wrist (as someone suggested earlier)?
Any advice or opinions gratefully recieved...could this be why my horses can sometimes be a bit snatching of the reins and dip his head down and pull them out of my hands? Am I being inconsistent in some way?

In walk this is fine, the only way to keep a constant forgiving contact is with your whole arm working with all it's hinges! Trot and canter there shouldnt be too much movement in the horses head...?!
