We have a horse that has been itching/scratching itself for several months, after numerous blood tests the vets have said he is allergic to any hard feed that has any dust in it, so he can only be fed soaked suger beet and bran and no other hard feed, we also have to keep all his feed buckets away from the general feed room and prepare his feed seperately. After several weeks the poor chap is still itching himself! and we are now wondering what else we can do? Has anyone else had this sort of problem?

i have never had any dealings with this is he on sugar beet if so it could be the sugar in it so maybe try speedibeet in stead and try some d;d itch free!

i have a horse like this,. i had blood tests done, but they cover a huge amount of things, each item tested is scored, then accordign to the score depends on a positive etc.

is this what you had done? i presume you have seen the results?
